Brinkley and Greenwalt Launch Investment Firm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- JULY 24, 2017 -- Paul Brinkley (“Brinkley”) and William Greenwalt (“Greenwalt”) have announced the formation of Brinkley Greenwalt LLC, an investment firm that provides growth capital and expertise to private technology companies that primarily service the aerospace and defense markets.

Brinkley was most recently cofounder and CEO of North America Western Asia Holdings, an industrial business development firm headquartered in Dubai that recently brought a multinational strategic partner in as a majority equity in its maritime port and logistics operations.  Prior to cofounding NAWAH, he served as Deputy Undersecretary of Defense in the Bush and Obama Administrations, and as a senior executive in Silicon Valley for JDS Uniphase and Nortel Networks.

Greenwalt recently left his position as a senior professional staff member for the Senate Armed Services Committee, where he played instrumental roles encouraging new approaches to defense technology development and acquisition reform.  In addition to more than fifteen years of service on Capitol Hill, Greenwalt has served as Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Industrial Policy in the Bush Administration, as a fellow at several D.C. think tanks, and in senior positions in the defense industry.

In announcing the formation of the new venture, Greenwalt said “We are at an important point in the development of new defense and aerospace technologies, with rapid innovation critical to the sustainment of America’s position of military leadership in today’s challenging security environment.  Paul and I are excited to launch this new venture, and to actively participate in the development of next generation technologies with commercial applications and in support of national security priorities.”
